Kanpur Mayor Throws File In Anger Over Alleged Misinformation On Nullah Cleaning | Watch

Kanpur mayor Pramila Pandey threw a file at a government official and ordered him to leave the room during a meeting focused on nullah cleaning and other civic matters at the municipal corporation office. A video capturing the incident, which has circulated widely, shows Pandey becoming visibly upset and tossing the file towards the officer, narrowly avoiding his face.

According to reports, Pandey chastised the civic official for allegedly misleading her regarding nullah cleaning in the city and expressed frustration over his lax approach to routine tasks. The incident occurred during a meeting on Wednesday (June 12) where the mayor and other officials were discussing civic issues.

In the viral video, she can be heard reprimanding the civic officer in front of others, questioning his competence. “Do you think I am a fool?” she shouts at him while throwing a file in his direction. The mayor reportedly became agitated after the officer presented a file for March instead of the requested file for May concerning drainage cleaning.

While some social media users criticized the mayor’s behavior, others emphasized the importance of completing civic works like nullah cleaning before the monsoon to prevent issues caused by unclean and clogged drains.
