Multi-talented powerhouse Diljit Dosanjh of Indian entertainment has yet again placed India on the global map with his Dil Luminati Tour and recent guest spot on The Tonight Show. Praised for his captivating stage performance and award-winning roles in Chamkila, Soorma, Udta Punjab, Jatt & Juliet, and Good Newwz, Diljit is continuing to capture hearts around the world.

Early Days of Diljit Dosanjh as an Actor Recalled by Jividha Sharma

Jividha Sharma, who appeared alongside Diljit Dosanjh in his 2011 debut movie The Lion of Punjab, recently spoke about her experience of working with him in his initial days. In an interview with The Lallantop, she showered praises on his development and commitment over the years.

“I remember working with him. He is a changed person now. His experience over the years has made him an intellect. All that he has achieved today with his hard work is commendable. And the best thing about him is that God too blessed him,” Jividha added.

A Singer Turned Actor with a Vision

Although The Lion of Punjab was his debut performance, Diljit was already a household name in Punjabi music. As per Jividha, this made him get the film and impress the audience immediately.

“Although it was Diljit’s first film, he was already a star due to his singing career. People recognised him and loved his songs. That’s how he bagged the film because in Punjab, there is a culture of bringing singers as lead stars. He is very hardworking,” she said.

Balancing Shoots and Stage Shows

Jividha recalled how Diljit would juggle early morning film shoots with late-night stage performances in different cities and still arrive fresh on set every day.

“He shot with us for the film in the morning and would rush at night to do his stage shows. These stage shows used to be in different cities, sometimes would go until early morning, yet he would always look fresh and be on time for the shoot,” she added.

Recalling a sentimental memory, Jividha discussed an instance where Diljit Dosanjh had foretold his success while driving past a movie hoarding in Mumbai.

“Once we were travelling somewhere in Mumbai, towards Andheri West, I guess. There, we saw this huge hoarding board of a film or so. Looking at it, very innocently yet confidently, Diljit said, ‘One day, I will be there on the hoarding.’ And years later, he was there,” Jividha Sharma said.

From a passionate newcomer to a world icon, Diljit’s path continues to motivate millions worldwide.
