Following the release of a web series, a Bihar cadre IPS officer Amit Lodha has been booked under sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, and other IPC sections.
Earlier on November 25, the web series ‘Khakee’ The Bihar Chapter, made on Bihar, was released on the OTT platform NETFLIX and within 24 hours the series become a hit.
Meanwhile, the difficulties of IPS officer Amit Lodha, the hero of this web series, have increased. An FIR has been registered against Lodha in Patna.
Moreover, Lodha had written a book named ‘Bihar Diary’, which was published in the year 2017. Based on this book ‘Khakee’ The Bihar Chapter web series.
Earlier, on Thursday, the Special Vigilance Unit (SVU) clarified that Lodha has been accused of abusing his official position and indulging in financial irregularities.
“This happened during Lodha’s tenure as IG of Magadh range,” said a senior police officer said.
However, under various section 13(1), (b) read with section 13 (2) read with section 12 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (as amended in 2018), and sections 120 (b) and 168 of IPC has been booked.
