An Indian passenger bus carrying 50 people veered off the road and plunged into the Marsyangdi River in Nepal’s Tanahun district on Friday, according to reports from the news agency ANI.
The bus, registered with the number plate UP FT 7623, fell into the river and was found lying on its bank, confirmed DSP Deepkumar Raya from the Tanahun district police office.
The tragic incident occurred while the bus was en route from Pokhara to Kathmandu. Rescue operations are currently underway, with local authorities and emergency services working to assist any survivors and retrieve bodies from the scene.
