Yoga guru and founder of Patanjali Ramdev on Friday claimed that India will soon join hands with Russia and China, as well as some European and Central Asian nations, to bring an end to what he termed as the “political and economic hooliganism of America.”
This was said on the occasion of Patanjali University and Patanjali Yoga Bhavan’s 79th Independence Day celebrations when Ramdev unfurled the national flag. He stated that the new coalition would send a “very good message” across the world and stressed that India has made up its mind to “stand up and not bow down before America.”
Response to Donald Trump’s Remarks
Ramdev attacked US President Donald Trump for his statement that “India’s economy is dead” by saying India’s economy is not only alive but growing fast. He pointed towards India’s economic resilience in the past by saying,
“Three hundred years ago, India’s economy was worth 400-500 trillion dollars, which was firstly plundered by the Mughals and secondly plundered by the British. But India still stands tall today.”
He emphasized the need for self-sufficiency and encouraging local products, appealing to Patanjali employees and seers who attended the program to embrace locally produced products in economics, education, and healthcare to gain “ideological and intellectual freedom.”
Vision of a New World Order
Ramdev explained India’s role towards creating a new world order.
“India is involved in building a new international order to put an end to the political and economic hooliganism of America. If Russia, China, India, some Central Asian countries, some European and African countries become part of a new alliance, we will teach America and Trump a lesson. There won’t be any Trump and America empire in the world,” he stated.
He portrayed this vision as part of a larger strategy to establish India’s international role and influence and positioned it as a step toward making India more sovereign and economically independent.
Comments on Pakistan’s Nuclear Threat
On Pakistan, Ramdev minimized its nuclear capacity, stating that the neighboring country does not possess its bombs.
These remarks are made in the context of ongoing debates about regional security and defense, which are a reflection of Ramdev’s fierce stand on India’s military and geopolitical strategy.
Balkrishna, the secretary-general of Patanjali Yogpeeth, also spoke on the occasion and threw light on the activities of the organization in Ayurveda, yoga, and education. He appreciated the initiatives taken by Patanjali for developing health and well-being in accordance with Ramdev’s overall philosophy of self-sufficiency and indigenous growth.
