How to Register Online for PM SVANidhi Yojana and Apply for Loan

The Pradhan Mantri Street Vendor’s AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) scheme was launched in June 2020 to help street vendors access affordable loans and rebuild their livelihoods after the COVID-19 pandemic. If you are a street vendor planning to apply, here are the answers to the most common questions.

Who is eligible for PM SVANidhi loan?

Street vendors engaged in vending before March 24, 2020 and holding a Certificate of Vending or Identity Card issued by Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) are eligible. Vendors without a certificate can apply through a Letter of Recommendation (LoR) from the ULB.

How to check PM SVANidhi application status online?

You can check your loan application status by visiting the official portal pmsvanidhi.mohua.gov.in. On the homepage, select “Application Status”, enter your application number and mobile number, then verify with OTP to track your status.

What is the subsidy of PM SVANidhi ₹10,000?

Under the first loan cycle, vendors can avail a collateral-free working capital loan of up to ₹10,000, repayable in 12 months. On timely or early repayment, they get an interest subsidy of 7% per annum, credited quarterly to their bank account.

Is the PM SVANidhi scheme closed?

No, the scheme is still active. It has been extended beyond its initial deadline, allowing more vendors to benefit. Street vendors can continue to register and apply online.

Currently, there is no official closure date announced for online registration. Applicants are encouraged to apply early through the PM SVANidhi portal or via Common Service Centres (CSCs).

What is PM SVANidhi LoR apply?

If a street vendor does not have a vending certificate or ID card, they can apply for a Letter of Recommendation (LoR) from the Urban Local Body. This LoR serves as proof of eligibility for the loan application.

How to Apply Online?

  4. Upload necessary documents (Vending ID or LoR, Aadhaar, Bank account details).

  5. Submit and note the application ID for tracking.
