A weekend party in Gurugram ended in tragedy after a 25-year-old woman was found dead at a rented apartment in DLF Phase-1 early Sunday morning. The incident has raised questions, prompting police to order a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.

The woman, identified as Simran Dadwal, worked as an air hostess with an Indian airline. She was originally from Mohali in Punjab and had been living in Delhi for work. She had visited Gurugram on Saturday night to spend time with friends.

What Happened at the Party

According to officials, Simran attended a small gathering at her friend’s apartment. During the early hours of Sunday, she reportedly complained of breathing trouble. Her condition worsened around 5 am, causing panic among those present.

“She was working with the airline for the past two years and was living in Delhi. She had come to Gurugram on Saturday to meet her friends. The deceased had troubled breathing at around 5 am,” said a senior official at DLF Phase-I police station, requesting anonymity.

Her friends immediately rushed her to a nearby private hospital. Despite medical efforts, doctors declared her dead during treatment.

Police Alerted by Hospital Staff

Hospital authorities informed the police soon after confirming her death. Officers from the DLF Phase-1 police station reached the hospital and began preliminary inquiries.

“A team was immediately dispatched to the spot to take the body to the local mortuary for an autopsy,” said Inspector Rajesh Kumar, station in charge of DLF Phase-1.

Police secured the apartment and spoke to people who attended the party. They also collected basic details about the events leading up to the medical emergency.

Family Seeks Clarity Through Post-Mortem

Simran’s parents reached Gurugram on Sunday after being informed about their daughter’s death. The family requested a post-mortem examination to rule out any foul play or hidden cause.

Kumar said the woman’s parents, who reached Gurugram on Sunday, demanded a post-mortem to rule out any ulterior motive. “Further action will be decided based on the autopsy report,” he said.

Officials confirmed that no injuries were immediately visible on the body. However, police stressed that only the autopsy report would provide medical clarity.

Investigation Ongoing

Police have not registered a criminal case yet. They said the matter remains under inquiry. Officers are examining medical records, speaking to friends present at the gathering, and waiting for forensic findings.

Authorities said they would take further steps if the post-mortem report suggests negligence, substance involvement, or any suspicious circumstances.

The incident has shocked residents of the area and sparked concerns over safety during private gatherings.
