Former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satyapal Malik passed away at the age of 79 on Monday at Delhi’s Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. His personal secretary KS Rana confirmed the news, stating that Malik had been undergoing treatment for kidney-related complications over the past few weeks.
Malik had earlier taken to social media to update followers about his deteriorating health. On June 8, he wrote on X, “My condition is serious.” Just a day before, the former governor had posted, “I have been hospitalised for the past month and am undergoing treatment for kidney-related issues.”
