A fire had erupted at Maha Kumbh Mela at Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh on Thursday morning near Chatnag Ghat in the 15 tents. Till the time this story was published, no loss of life and casualty has been reported, but it is the case according to officials. Since access roads did not exist here, fire tenders could reach with difficulty but doused the flames in time.

Watch:

This happened a day after a tragic stampede occurred in the Sangam area on Wednesday, in which 30 people lost their lives and over 60 got injured when millions of devotees had congregated there for holy dip on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya, new moon.

On January 19, a major fire had also broken out at the Maha Kumbh when three gas cylinders exploded in the Sector 19 campsite area. Again, the fire department responded in no time and did not have to report any casualties in that case either.
