The Enforcement Directorate on Friday interrogated former Ranchi DC Chhavi Ranjan for several hours regarding land forgery.

Later, ED’s special court sent him to Hotwar Jail in Ranchi in connection with the purchase and sale of land. He was transported to Hotwar Jail following the court’s decision under heavy guard.

The Enforcement Directorate grilled the former DC for several hours.

Earlier, the ED team raided the premises of Chhavi Ranjan and several other land traders on 13 April.

Earlier, he was escorted from the ED office to the special court at around 2.30 pm. Chhavi Ranjan, a former DC, appeared at the court before 3 o’clock. He was then brought before the judge. He was sent to Ranchi’s Hotwar Jail by the special court after hearing the entirety of the case.
