Sunak Explores India’s Iconic Monuments

During his visit to India, Rishi Sunak, along with his wife Akshata Murty, mother-in-law Sudha Murty, and daughters Anoushka and Krishna, explored some of India’s historical landmarks.

On Sunday, the family visited Fatehpur Sikri in Uttar Pradesh’s Agra. Sunak warmly interacted with the crowd gathered to see them.

A day earlier, on Saturday, Sunak and his family toured the Taj Mahal. The former UK PM was impressed by the monument’s grandeur and left a heartfelt message in the visitors’ book.

“A truly breathtaking visit. Few places in the world can unite like the Taj Mahal. Our children will never forget seeing this… We are so grateful for the warm hospitality. An unforgettable experience for our whole family. Thank you,” he wrote.

His wife, Akshata Murty, also shared her thoughts, calling the visit, “A memory for the ages.”

Sunak Attends India vs England T20I at Wankhede

Earlier in his visit, Sunak attended the fifth and final T20I match between India and England at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, on February 2. He was accompanied by his father-in-law, Narayana Murthy.

Despite England’s loss, Sunak enjoyed the match and shared his thoughts on social media.
“Tough day for England at the Wankhede but I know our team will come back stronger. Congratulations to Team India on the win. Despite the result, it was an honour to meet @josbuttler and @surya_14kumar before the match and a pleasure to watch the cricket with my father-in-law,” he posted.
