BJP MP Dinesh Sharma has lauded Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for his efforts in boosting the state’s economy through religious tourism. Sharma called it an “unprecedented” initiative that deserves recognition. The praise comes ahead of the Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj, a major event attracting millions of visitors.

Sharma Responds to Akhilesh Yadav

Sharma responded to Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav’s concerns about the government’s preparedness. He pointed out the success of the last Kumbh Mela under Yogi’s leadership, which was praised worldwide. This year, Sharma noted, around 40 crore people are expected to attend. He jokingly added, “After the Kumbh, don’t call him ‘Yogi Baba,’ but ‘Arth Prabandhan Baba’ (Economic Management Baba)” for his efforts in boosting the economy through religious tourism.

Invitation to SP and Congress Leaders

Sharma also urged SP and Congress leaders to visit the Mahakumbh. He believes they should witness the improvements and the preparations for this year’s event. According to Sharma, the transformation and better arrangements would be clear to anyone who attends.

Akhilesh Yadav’s Concerns

Meanwhile, Akhilesh Yadav expressed concerns about the government’s preparedness for the Mahakumbh. He highlighted unfinished work and questioned how the tasks could be completed in just 13 days. However, he also stated that his party members were ready to assist the government if needed. “If the Government wants any help, our party members are ready to help,” he said.
