Delhi Court Orders Charges to Be Framed Against Brij Bhushan for Sexual Harassment

Delhi court has framed charges against BJP leader Brij Bhushan Singh in a case concerning the alleged sexual harassment of five female wrestlers. The charges include offenses related to outraging the modesty of women. The court found adequate evidence to proceed with charges against Brij Bhushan Singh under sections 354 and 354A of the Indian Penal Code in connection with each victim.

While addressing the case, the court stated, “Charges were framed against Brij Bhushan under sections 354 and 354A in respect of each victim.” However, the court acquitted Brij Bhushan Singh of the charges brought forth by the sixth wrestler.

The framing of charges marks a significant development in the legal proceedings, highlighting the gravity of the allegations and the subsequent judicial process. The court’s decision to proceed with charges under specific sections underscores the seriousness with which such cases are handled within the legal framework.
