Forest department authorities have detained Vikram Simha, the brother of BJP MP Pratap Simha, in connection with an alleged incident of tree felling, according to officials on Sunday. Pratap Simha represents the Mysore-Kodagu constituency in Karnataka and has previously served as the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Yuva Morcha.
Officials reported that Vikram Simha is accused of participating in the unauthorized felling of trees within a forested area in Hassan district, Karnataka. He was apprehended on Saturday in Bengaluru, with additional details on the case yet to be disclosed.
