Approval for new district creation  in Rajasthan

Despite controversies surrounding the issue, the Finance Department has approved the proposal put forth by the Revenue Department for the creation of new districts. In this development, the districts of Sikar, Pali, and Banswara have been selected to form three new regions in Rajasthan. A total of 11 districts have been allocated among these three regions, marking a significant administrative reorganization.
Among the newly proposed districts, the largest one will be Kuchaman-Didwana, encompassing Kuchaman, Didwana, Makrana, and Ladnu Tehsils. On the other hand, the smallest district, known as Doodu, will be established, with the proposed separation of Sambhar Fulera as a distinct district in Jaipur Rural. However, it is important to note that the opposition led by Chaksu MLA Ved Prakash Solanki has excluded the inclusion of Madhorajpura Tehsil in Doodu district, leading to ongoing debates and discussions.
During a recent cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot entrusted the responsibility of this significant task to Revenue Minister Ram Lal Jat. The process of creating new districts involves technical work and the resolution of disputes among local representatives regarding the selection of Tehsils, Sub-Tehsils, and District Headquarters in the four districts under consideration.
At present, the proposal to create new districts remains with the Revenue Department. It will soon be sent to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot for the final decision, based on the recommendations put forth by the committee responsible for creating new districts.
The Revenue Department is making substantial progress, with the creation of new districts and divisions expected to be nearly completed within the next two days. Initial files for the formation of 15 districts and 2 sub-districts have already been submitted for approval. Additionally, proposed building plans for these districts have been prepared, aiming to develop them as mini-secretariats. This will ensure that administrative functions can be carried out efficiently in these districts.
