Republic Day 2025: Ahead of the 76th Republic Day celebration, the Defence Personnel has begun full rehearsals at Kartavya Path. Moreover, 15 states and Union Terrorities are participating to showcase their tableaux for the Republic Day celebrations. These include Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Goa, Daman & Diu, Chandigarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Jharkhand, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Tripura, Uttrakhand and Dadar Nagar Haveli.
The theme for this year’s Republic Day celebration is “Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas,” which highlights India’s cultural heritage and ongoing development. The government has outlined guidelines for the materials used in the tableaux, specifying that they must be environmentally friendly and support sustainable development. Furthermore, the use of plastic and any non-biodegradable materials is strictly prohibited.
Delhi Police has taken adequate security measures by enhancing security in neighboring areas with intensified patrols, along with raising additional forces in the other areas of Delhi, including intense tenant servant verification processes before the 76th Republic Day celebration.
