Recently, Ariana Grande responded to the circulating rumours that she would be chosen to play Audrey Hepburn in a new biopic. The singer expressed interest in the post at the National Board of Review’s Annual Gala, but she did not confirm or deny the rumours.
When asked by Access Hollywood, Ariana said, “Oh my goodness, oh my goodness—I have no idea. That would have to be done so well and so perfectly, and it would have to be—I don’t know. “Online debates were swiftly triggered by her comments, with fans disagreeing about whether she would be a suitable replacement for the legendary British actress.

On social media, a lot of people expressed their thoughts by recommending other Hollywood actors they thought would be more suitable for the role. Comments like “Anne Hathaway > Ariana Grande” and “Lily Collins is the only one” were posted by fans of pop culture. Some backed Ariana, though, by asserting that their casting would garner a lot of media attention. As one admirer put it, “They would be dumb not to cast her for all the publicity alone this would get.”
Regarding her career, Ariana has been receiving a lot of acclaim for her portrayal of Glinda in the recently released Wicked: Part One, which came out on November 22, 2024. She will reprise her role in Wicked: For Good, scheduled for release on November 21, 2025. Most recently, she was the talk of the 2025 Golden Globes when she walked the red carpet in a stunning vintage Givenchy gown, all from 1966, a nod to her character Glinda’s favourite colour being pale yellow.
