Municipal Corporation Jaipur Heritage Commissioner Rajendra Singh Shekhawat has increased the capacity of temporary shelters on the instructions of Mayor Munesh Gurjar. This decision has been taken in view of the extreme cold and cold wave in the Heritage Corporation area. In Jaipur, the capacity of people to stay in temporary shelters for the night rest of the needy coming from outside has been increased.
Municipal Corporation Jaipur Heritage Commissioner Rajendra Singh Shekhawat said that earlier the shelter under the Transport Nagar culvert had the capacity to accommodate 80 people, which has been increased to 100. Also, the earlier sanctioned capacity under the Khasa Kothi culvert was 100. The capacity of which has been increased to 150 persons.
Heritage Corporation Commissioner Shekhawat said that Mayor Munesh Gurjar had recently inspected the temporary shelter sites along with the officials. After this, the system has been changed keeping in view the needs of the people living in rain shelters and people coming from other cities. The result of the inspection was that the number of unemployed workers coming in search of work was found to be high. For this reason, this decision was taken to protect all of them from the cold.
