In a remarkable event that captivated the residents of Mavikalan village in Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat district, the wedding of Virendra, a milk businessman from Ghaziabad’s Indrapuri, and Pratibha, a nursing student from the village, featured both the arrival and departure of the couple via helicopter. This extraordinary spectacle drew significant public interest and posed a considerable security challenge for local authorities.

Virendra made a grand entrance to Mavikalan village in a helicopter for his wedding to Pratibha, sparking immense curiosity and attracting crowds from nearby areas. Despite stringent security measures reportedly in place, a large gathering formed to witness the aerial display and festivities.

After the wedding ceremony, the newlyweds left for their new life together in the same helicopter, taking off from Janta Inter College grounds where the aircraft had landed earlier. The scene attracted numerous villagers, prompting a substantial police presence to maintain order. Village head Deepak Kumar, who is also Pratibha’s uncle, remarked that all necessary permissions had been secured well in advance. He noted that this was the first instance in the village where a helicopter was used for a bride’s farewell, and every protocol was followed with full cooperation from the authorities.

Local officials acknowledged that despite extensive preparations, managing the enthusiastic crowd was challenging, as villagers eagerly took photographs and sought glimpses of the rare spectacle. The use of helicopters for wedding processions remains uncommon in rural settings, highlighting the uniqueness of this event for Mavikalan and its neighboring communities.
