Russia’s Federal Medical and Biological Agency has developed an advanced vaccine, which can possibly be used for cancer treatments, commonly known as Enteromix, an mRNA-based cancer vaccine that has gained worldwide attention for its promising results. After years of rigorous preclinical research, the vaccine is now moving into human clinical trials.
Promising Preclinical Results
Over a span of three years, Enteromix underwent regulated preclinical trials, which achieved shrinkage of 60-80% of the tumor.

How It Works
Enteromix operates on an oncolytic virus platform, combining four non-pathogenic viruses. These viruses work in two ways: they directly destroy malignant cells and simultaneously stimulate the body’s antitumor immune response.
Scope of Application
The first clinical focus for Enteromix is colorectal cancer (which is related to the human intestine), one of the most common cancers globally, and then brain, skin, and eye.

Clinical Trials in Humans
In June 2025, Enteromix entered Phase I of its human clinical trials at Russia’s National Medical Research Radiological Centre. A total of 48 volunteers with advanced, inoperable cancers are diagnosed in this trial, but a long-term effect is waiting.
Is It Really 100% Effective?
Some reports highlight that this new treatment of cancer is “100% effective,” but experts caution that this figure reflects preclinical data, not human trials.
Who Can Receive It?
The trial currently targets adult patients aged between 18 and 75, of any gender, male or female, who suffer from solid tumors resistant to conventional treatment. Children, pregnant individuals, or patients with specific health conditions are not yet part of the trials.

Cost & Affordability
Enteromix is estimated to cost 300,000 rubles per dose (about USD 2,869 / ₹2.5 lakh Indian rupees). Enteromix represents a revolutionary step in cancer treatment in this generation, combining cutting-edge mRNA science, viral therapy, and AI personalization.
