In the wake of a mysterious respiratory affliction emerging in China, the entire nation is on edge, and Haryana’s health department is no exception. Across all districts, the health department has issued alert advisories, prompting comprehensive inspections and evaluations of facilities at health centers. Notably, in Bahadurgarh, the health department has undertaken meticulous assessments, scrutinizing critical facilities like ICUs and NICUs. The Pediatric Department has also undergone a thorough review of its preparedness.
Dr. Ahubhushan, a distinguished pediatric specialist, affirms that, as of now, no cases related to respiratory ailments, particularly those impacting the lungs, have surfaced. The Outpatient Department (OPD) mainly attends to patients with typical viral infections.
Dr. Ahubhushan underscores that the government’s alerts have spurred them into action, leading to a comprehensive evaluation and fortification of their preparedness. Crucially, the hospital ensures a continuous 24-hour supply of oxygen, and essential facilities such as ventilators, CPAP machines, and ICUs are operating at full capacity.
Expounding on the situation, Dr. Ahubhushan elucidates that symptoms resembling pneumonia are a common occurrence during the winter season. Importantly, he reassures the public that this is not a novel virus. However, he advocates for necessary precautions, emphasizing the imperative of safeguarding children from the cold. It’s pertinent to note that post the COVID-19 pandemic in China, there has been a substantial uptick in cases of respiratory infections, like pneumonia, prompting the Indian government to proactively implement precautionary measures.
