The renowned historical power centre, Shri Mata Mansa Devi Temple, will soon undergo a magnificent transformation. The main dome and entrance route of the temple will be constructed with a new approach. A long additional entry corridor will be built directly in front of the main temple to showcase its grandeur. Vishva Adhyaksha Jnan Chand Gupta, along with the shrine board and Haryana Urban Local Bodies officials, finalized the plan in a meeting on Friday.
The estimated cost for the construction of the dome and additional entry corridor is 6.10 crore rupees. The Central Building Research Institute (CBRI) has prepared the drawings, and the construction responsibility may be entrusted to PWD (B and R). The new corridor is expected to enhance the visibility of the main temple, which is currently not clearly visible due to a sharp bend in the existing main corridor. The new corridor will start between the current library and Vita booth and will run straight to the main temple. There will be no changes to the VIP entrance.Gupta mentioned that the new construction will be based on the drawings prepared by the Central Building Research Institute in Roorkee. The Public Works Department (Buildings and Roads) might be assigned the responsibility for this construction, with an estimated expenditure of 6.10 crores.
Officials present at the meeting included the Secretary and Commissioner of the Haryana Urban Local Bodies Department, the Secretary of Panchkula Municipal Corporation, CEO of Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board Ashok Bansal, Secretary Sharda Prajapati, and SDO Rakesh Pahwa, among others.
