Just a day after becoming the second highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025, Mohit Suri’s romantic drama Saiyaara has reached another milestone. The film, starring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has now crossed ₹300 crore globally. On its second Sunday, it added ₹30 crore more to its India earnings, pushing the worldwide total past the ₹280 crore mark achieved on Saturday.
Strong Growth at Indian Box Office
On Day 10 (Sunday), Saiyaara earned ₹30 crore in India, marking a strong jump from the ₹26.5 crore it made on Day 9 (Saturday). This upward trend came after two quieter weekdays, where the collections had dropped below the ₹20 crore mark.
Interestingly, the only other time the film earned more than ₹30 crore in a single day was on its first Sunday (Day 3), when it brought in ₹35.75 crore. On that Saturday (Day 2), it had collected ₹26 crore, showing a pattern of weekend spikes.
According to data from Sacnilk, the film’s total earnings in India now stand at ₹247.25 crore. With this, it has already beaten the domestic box office numbers of several major Bollywood releases like:
-
Housefull 5 (₹198.41 crore)
-
Raid 2 (₹179.30 crore)
-
Sitaare Zameen Par (₹165.85 crore)
Second Only to Chaava in 2025 Rankings
Among all Hindi films released in 2025 so far, Saiyaara is currently second in terms of domestic earnings. It trails only Chaava, a historical action film directed by Laxman Utekar and starring Vicky Kaushal, which earned a massive ₹615.39 crore in India.
While Saiyaara is performing remarkably, it still has a long way to go before challenging Chaava’s record. Additionally, the film may face stiff competition in the coming week with the release of Son of Sardaar 2 starring Ajay Devgn and Dhadak 2 featuring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri.
Big Debuts and Notable Cast
Saiyaara marks the silver screen debut of Ahaan Panday, who is the nephew of veteran actor Chunky Panday and cousin to actress Ananya Panday. It also features Aneet Padda in her first lead role after gaining attention in Amazon Prime Video’s series Big Girls Don’t Cry last year.
The movie also stars seasoned actors like Geeta Agarwal, Rajesh Kumar, Varun Badola, and Shaad Randhawa in key supporting roles.
About the Film
Produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films, Saiyaara is a passionate romantic drama that explores the intense highs and painful lows of a young couple trying to hold on to their emotional connection.
The film is also notable for being the first production venture of Akshaye Widhani, who serves as the CEO of Yash Raj Films.
Saiyaara continues to impress at the box office with over ₹300 crore globally, ranking second among 2025’s Hindi releases and introducing fresh talent to Bollywood.
