It has been some time since Priyanka Chopra was last spotted in a Hindi movie. Since the desi girl left for the US back in 2015 and became a regular on Hollywood streets, she has only starred in two Bollywood movies, the most recent being The Sky Is Pink, six years ago. But if rumors are to be believed, PC might make a comeback on the big screen in a Hindi movie sooner than we know.
Throwback Post Sparks Speculation
Priyanka shared a poignant tribute to her dance number in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Raas Leela Ram-Leela with a one-off throwback Instagram post on Friday. The actor does not often dedicate an entire Instagram post to these kind of throwbacks. To add to that, she even dedicated an elaborate caption to it, discussing how Ram Chaahe Leela was made.
Industry experts soon started reading between the lines in the post and wondering if the post was not so indiscriminate after all. Now, an outside source has revealed that it could be a subtle suggestion of her return to Bollywood screens, perhaps with a dramatic special number in Bhansali’s forthcoming film Love & War. Nothing has been decided yet, but if it materializes, this would be Priyanka’s big Bollywood comeback.
What We Know About ‘Love & War’
Love & War is a period war drama directed by Bhansali starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal in the central cast. The film is in production at present and being mounted at large scale. HT had earlier detailed how Bhansali is going out of the way to ensure that a pivotal face-off scene involving Ranbir and Vicky is one of the largest sequences in Indian cinema’s history. The movie is scheduled to release on 20 March 2026.
Priyanka is already associated with another Indian movie – the highly anticipated film of SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu. Tentatively named SSMB29, the movie has Priyanka and Prithviraj Sukumaran alongside Mahesh. The movie, intended to be one of the biggest Indian films, has no release date so far. But it has been rumored that it will be released in 2027.
