In response to the terrifying attack, Ronit Roy’s private security agency was brought in to oversee the actor’s protection. In a recent interview, Roy disclosed a surprising detail—Kareena Kapoor was also targeted, shortly after Saif was discharged from the hospital.
Kareena’s Car Attacked After Saif’s Hospital Release
Speaking to Hindi Rush, Ronit said, “Saif was returning home after being discharged from the hospital. There was a huge crowd and media everywhere. When Kareena was also heading back home from the hospital, her car was slightly attacked. So she got scared.”
He added that the chaos caused by media and onlookers had made the area unsafe. “Since there was media around, people also got too close, and her car was shaken a bit. That’s when she asked me to bring Saif home,” he recalled.
Ronit confirmed that once Saif reached home safely, police support and private security were already arranged. “Now, everything is fine,” he assured.
Security Flaws Found at Saif’s Building
During a security inspection (recce) of Saif’s residence, Roy’s team identified major lapses in safety. He provided suggestions for tighter security, which the family later implemented to prevent future threats.
Intruder Entered Through Jeh’s Room
The attack occurred in the early hours of January 16, when a man broke into Saif’s Bandra home by entering through a window in his younger son Jeh’s room. Saif tried to confront the intruder but was stabbed six times during the struggle. Doctors later confirmed that two of the wounds were dangerously close to his spine, and a 2.5-inch knife was removed from his body.
Professional Update: Saif’s Recent Work and Future Plans
On the career front, Saif was last seen in the Netflix thriller Jewel Thief. Before that, he played the main antagonist in Jr. NTR’s film Devara: Part 1. Although an official announcement is yet to be made, reports suggest Saif is likely to reunite with Akshay Kumar after 17 years for a Priyadarshan-directed thriller, possibly titled Haiwaan, meaning “beast.”
