Akhil Akkineni, the younger son of Nagarjuna, is all set to strike the screens once again with his latest film titled Lenin. Akhil’s Lenin is the title of an upcoming intense, rural action drama film starring Akhil Akkineni. The film, helmed by Murali Kishor Abburu, has Bhagyashri Borse playing the female lead. The current shooting schedule is progressing in Hyderabad, and the makers are nearing the completion of the shoot.
The latest reports claim that the cinematography team of Lenin would undergo another change. A new DOP is expected to join the sets in the coming days, but the identity of the cinematographer has not been officially confirmed. Fans are eagerly waiting to see who will take over the camera work.
This film is jointly produced by Sithara Entertainments and Annapurna Studios, both production companies, with Thaman as the music composer. Actress Change from Sreeleela to Bhagyashri Borse in Lenin
Sreeleela was the original heroine in Lenin, with the teaser having released in April 2025. However, she ended up not doing the movie due to scheduling conflicts. Her place was taken up by Bhagyashri Borse, who is the new heroine in the film. The filming continues under the director Murali Kishor Abburu.
Rumoured Valentine Day 2026 set to Release of Lenin
It comes with rumors that Lenin might get a release date on February 14, 2026. Interestingly, the film reportedly contains strong romantic content, and the team feels the date might help maximize audience interest on Valentine’s Day.
There’s also a sentimental reason: Naga Chaitanya’s Thandel released in early February 2025 and became a ₹100-crore blockbuster. Akhil’s team may be aiming for the same release window, hoping for similar success.
