Actress Quits Bhojpuri Films After Alleging Misconduct by Pawan Singh

Actress Anjali Raghav has announced her exit from the Bhojpuri industry after accusing co-star Pawan Singh of touching her without consent.

In a dramatic move, actress Anjali Raghav has gone public with her decision to leave the Bhojpuri film industry. The actress disclosed that she made this tough decision after she was subjected to inappropriate behavior from her co-star and singer-actor Pawan Singh.

Anjali accused Pawan Singh of groping her on the set. Telling her version of what happened, she said that the incident made her so uncomfortable that she did not want to continue working in the Bhojpuri film industry.



Discoursing on the issue, Anjali alleged, “He touched me without my consent. I was very uncomfortable. This is something that cannot be brushed under the carpet or accepted. The actress asserted that women in the film industry deserve respect and dignity, and her decision to leave is a reflection of her position on such behavior.

The Actress’s Hard Choice

Anjali confessed that it was not easy to walk out of the Bhojpuri industry. She has worked in many hit projects and garnered love from fans. But she made it very clear that her self-respect and security matter a lot more than fame. “I cannot stay in an environment where I don’t feel safe,” she said.
