This poor shopkeeper has had enough of people simply lounging outside the shop, and he just couldn’t seem to make up his mind for that one special packet of chips. A picture posted on Reddit has rapidly gone viral, putting many smiles on. Here’s a shopkeeper who took matters into his own hands by designing a funny message to his customers with a sign.

The signboard outside the chips display read, “Dukan par khade hoke ‘konsa lays lu’ sochna mana hai. Kripya apne ghar se soch ke aaye- Sharma General Store” (It is not allowed to stand outside the store and think about which Lay’s you want. Decide at home, and then come to the store).

The post, shared on social media a few days ago, has got more than 17,000 upvotes with several comments.

This is how people reacted:

One of them commented, “Always confused between blue, light green and dark green.” The guy was referring to the different Lay’s flavours.

Another Reddit user shared, “That’s how Indian shopkeepers traditionally treat their customers, especially in the lower and middle segments.”

A third commenter jokingly added, “I can confidently say that I’ve spent more time picking a Lay’s flavor than I did picking my career.”

Another user wrote, “Clever marketing technique, this forces you to choose between four flavours of Lay’s rather than their entire competition.”

Another user commented, “When I go out to buy, I don’t even plan on buying oily unhealthy potato chips which destroy a full day’s workout in just one packet. They really have figured out hacks for our brain, displaying in all those shiny colorful packets stacked away from everything.”
