Billionaires and celebrities from around the globe have flocked to Paris for the Olympics. The Paris Games 2024 officially commenced on Friday with a spectacular opening ceremony featuring Olympic teams floating down the River Seine, performances by Lady Gaga and Celine Dion, a laser show illuminating the Eiffel Tower, the Olympic torchbearer running across the city’s rooftops, and a bizarre appearance of a semi-naked blue man on a platter of fruits.
The event was attended by Hollywood and Bollywood stars, some of the world’s most influential business families, top athletes, and more.
Reliance Industries billionaire Mukesh Ambani, his wife Nita Ambani, and their daughter Isha Ambani were photographed at the opening ceremony. Nita Ambani, chairperson of the Reliance Foundation, was unanimously re-elected as a member of the International Olympic Committee for India during the IOC’s 142nd session.
Tesla billionaire Elon Musk, presently the world’s richest person, is also in Paris for the Olympics. After being photographed with IOC member Luis Mejía Oviedo, Musk shared images of the Eiffel Tower illuminated for the event. “The Olympics laser show was amazing!” he posted.

Delta CEO Ed Bastian was seen in Paris ahead of the Olympics opening ceremony. His presence raised some eyebrows, coming at a time when Delta struggled with thousands of flight cancellations that left an estimated half-a-million flyers stranded.
‘RRR’ actor Ram Charan attended the Paris Olympics opening ceremony with his wife Upasana. The couple shared a photo from the rain-soaked ceremony, with Upasana in a plastic poncho. “Drenched,” she captioned the picture.
Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon is in Paris for the Olympics, as reported by the New York Post. He arrived in the City of Lights earlier this week on the company’s private jet.
American singer-songwriter Ariana Grande, 31, attended the Paris Olympics opening ceremony wearing a baby pink dress.
LVMH billionaire and the world’s third richest person, Bernard Arnault, is also part of the Olympics. His company is sponsoring the event, marking the first time a luxury brand is an Olympic sponsor. Arnault was earlier photographed with Nita and Mukesh Ambani.
