On Monday, Former Minister Pramod Jain Bhaya and Anta Municipality Chairman Mustafa Khan found themselves embroiled in legal trouble as they were booked for an alleged conspiracy involving the fabrication of fake documents to approve tenders worth crores of rupees.

The accusations extend to a period when the model code of conduct for assembly elections was in effect. Pramod Jain Bhaya, who served as the Minister of Mining and Gopalan in the Ashok Gehlot government, faces serious charges alongside Mustafa Khan.

Anta Circle Officer DSP Omendra Singh revealed that the First Information Report (FIR) against Bhaya and Khan was filed based on a complaint lodged by Anta City BJP President Rameshwar Khandelwal.

The case has been registered at the Anta police station under Sections 420, 406, 467, 468, 471, and 120(B) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), encompassing charges of fraud, criminal breach of trust, and forgery.

The allegations against the former minister and the municipality chairman pertain to their purported involvement in sanctioning tenders despite the enforcement of the model code of conduct during the assembly elections.
