The Bolero of the police personnel going from Nagaur to Jhunjhunu for election duty collided with a stationary truck on the road in the Sujangarh police station area on Sunday morning. In this severe collision, the Bolero was completely wrecked, and five police personnel on board lost their lives on the spot.
One injured police personnel succumbed to injuries while being taken to the hospital. There were 7 police personnel on board the Bolero. The police believe that this horrific accident occurred due to dense fog.
According to Churu ASP Praveen Nayak, 7 police personnel from Nagaur were going to Jhunjhunu for election duty in the Bolero on November 19. Near the Sujangarh police station Chowki around 6:30 am, the Bolero collided with a stationary truck from behind. The police believe that this horrific accident occurred due to dense fog.
The collision caused the Bolero to be completely mangled. The personnel on board, Assistant Sub-Inspector Ramchandra from Nagaur, Constable Kumbharam from Jodhpur, Constable Suresh Meena from Nagaur, Constable Thanaram, and Constable Mahendra Kumar, lost their lives on the spot. Injured police personnel Head Constable Sukhram and Constable Sukhram were rushed to Nagaur’s JLN Hospital through a green corridor.
Head Constable Sukhram succumbed to injuries on the way. The condition of Constable Sukhram, admitted to the hospital, is also reported to be serious.
The Bolero, mangled due to the severe collision, was separated with the help of a crane from the side of the road.
