In the capital city of Jaipur, a severe fire broke out in a chemical warehouse on Wednesday afternoon. The blast, accompanied by three drum explosions stored inside the warehouse, caused a panic in the area. As soon as the fire broke out, a dairy booth and a bike were also completely reduced to ashes. On receiving information about the fire, seven fire brigade vehicles reached the scene, and after nearly half an hour of effort, the fire was brought under control.
Rajendra Nagar, an officer from the fire department, explained that near the fire station located in the Reekho area, there is a chemical warehouse. Inside the warehouse, there were 8 drums filled with chemicals. Around noon, a short circuit occurred in the transformer installed there, leading to sparks. The sparks ignited the warehouse, and rapidly, the fire took on a ferocious form. The ignition of the chemical-filled drum resulted in an explosion. The sound of a powerful explosion spread panic among the local residents.
Employees present at the fire station were seen battling the fire in the chemical warehouse. Subsequently, seven fire brigade vehicles arrived at the scene from the fire station. After nearly half an hour of strenuous effort, control was gained over the fire. During the extinguishing of the fire, there was a blast in three drums filled with chemicals stored in the warehouse. Meanwhile, a bike and a dairy booth near the warehouse also fell prey to the fire and turned into ashes. Timely control over the fire prevented a major disaster.
