Nearly 15 days have passed since the tragic Porsche crash that claimed the lives of IT professionals Aneesh Awadhiya and Ashwini Koshta. Their families are now expressing concerns that the pursuit of justice may be hindered by prolonged court proceedings.

Gyanendra Soni, the uncle of Aneesh Awadhiya, voiced the family’s frustrations, saying, “In the beginning, we all saw how the investigation was botched. All the evidence pointed to corruption and showed that the system is in cahoots to help relieve the accused of any punishment.” However, Soni noted a shift in the investigation’s rigour following the discovery of discrepancies in blood sample reports. “The case is headed in the right direction now, but we demand that it should be fast-tracked. We want a verdict as soon as possible, so the case doesn’t die with time,” he added.

Samarpreet Koshta, brother of Ashwini Koshta, echoed similar anxieties about potential delays. “There is not much in our hands. Only the police can do the needful. Right now, it feels like the case is being solved properly, but we don’t want it to become another one of those cases that gets date after date. It should be fast-tracked. All the evidence is out now, so should be the verdict,” he emphasized.

Koshta also called for accountability for all involved parties, including new culprits emerging in the investigation, such as the mother of the minor and certain doctors. “Everyone involved should be punished,” he asserted.

Soni further remarked on the police’s pivotal role in ensuring justice, “If the police want any person who commits a crime, be it a VIP or someone else, they can grant him bail easily, but if they want, they can also bring the truth forward and give appropriate punishment.”

As the families continue to press for expedited legal proceedings, the focus remains on ensuring that the case is resolved swiftly and justly.
