On Monday, Russian President Vladimir Putin sent warm Christmas and New Year 2025 greetings to various heads of state and government worldwide. Among the recipients were Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan; Vaagn Khachaturyan, President of Armenia; Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of Armenia; Alexander Lukashenko, President of Belarus; Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan; Sadyr Japarov, President of Kyrgyzstan; Emomali Rahmon, President of Tajikistan; Serdar Berdimuhamedov, President of Turkmenistan; Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Speaker of Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan; Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Uzbekistan; Alan Gagloyev, President of South Ossetia; Luiz Alberto Arce, President of Bolivia; Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, President of Brazil; Viktor Orban, Prime Minister of Hungary; Nicolas Maduro, President of Venezuela; To Lam, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam; and Luong Cuong, President of Vietnam.

Additionally, Putin sent greetings to Indian President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chinese President Xi Jinping, North Korean Chairman Kim Jong-un, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, Laos President Thongloun Sisoulith, Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, Myanmar’s Prime Minister Min Aung Hlaing, Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega, Pope Francis, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, and South African President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Messages were also sent to former heads of state and government, including former Cuban President Raul Castro, former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan, former Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, former Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, and former German Chancellor Gerhard Schroder.
