External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar recently reflected on the historical significance of India’s 1998 Pokhran nuclear test, conducted during the tenure of the NDA government. According to Jaishankar, this decision has played a crucial role in safeguarding India’s national security interests. Drawing parallels between the past and present governments under the NDA banner, Jaishankar highlighted the ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and enhance border infrastructure.

In a statement posted on X, Jaishankar emphasized the importance of political choices in shaping the future of India, particularly in matters concerning national security. He underscored the need for transparency regarding different political stances on such critical issues.
