New York [US], June 26 (ANI): Actor Aditi Bhatia recently met Hollywood star Reese Witherspoon at a promotional event for ‘Elle,’ the upcoming prequel series to the hit film ‘Legally Blonde,’ in New York.

Reese Witherspoon, who played the lead role in the 2001 film ‘Legally Blonde,’ is the executive producer of ‘Elle.’

The series stars Lexi Minetree as a young Elle Woods and will premiere on Prime Video on July 1, 2026.

The series shows her school life, friendships, family relationships and the experiences that helped shape her future. The first season will have eight episodes, and Prime Video has already ordered a second season.

Released in 2001, Legally Blonde followed the journey of Elle Woods, a fashionable college student who joins law school and proves that she is much more than what people expect

The film was a sequel to the National Award-winning ‘The Kerala Story’, which came out in 2023. It follows the lives of three young women who fall into what the film describes as deceptive marriages and face alleged forced religious conversions. (ANI)
