Actor Ravi Kishan’s next project is Son of Sardaar 2, starring Ajay Devgn. The cast of the movie recently went to The Great Indian Kapil Show to promote their upcoming release, and while there, host Kapil Sharma asked Ravi Kishan about his habit of touching his wife Priti Shukla’s feet every night. In response, Ravi praised his wife and talked about their long-standing relationship, but Ajay Devgn made sure to pass an innocent dig at him.

Speaking about his tendency of touching his wife’s feet, Ravi remarked, “I do it, but she never lets me do that, but whenever she is sleeping, ” he continued, “She was by my side when I had neither money nor success. She held onto me through all ups and downs. Whatever success I have now, it’s because she never left my side. My son is sitting in front of me, he knows that the way Mom manages me, touching her feet is the least I can do.

Taking advantage of the situation, Ajay Devgn said, “A man will bend more to touch his wife’s feet the more guilty he is. The cast of the movie, Ravi, and the audience all burst out laughing at this.

A Silent Thank You

According to Ravi, his wife has been the rock of his journey — the quiet strength that kept their family united while he pursued his dreams in the unpredictable realms of cinema and later, politics. He gives a significant part of his success to her support, endless patience, and the sacrifices she made along the way.

He reflected on the challenging times in his career when opportunities were few and the future felt uncertain. During those moments, his wife was right there by his side, never complaining and always holding onto hope. It’s this silent resilience, he says, that continues to motivate him today.

I truly believe that behind every successful man, there’s a woman who stood by him through all the ups and downs. My wife has been that person for me. Whatever I’ve achieved today, a huge part of it is thanks to her,” Ravi shared.

A Gesture Rooted in Respect

In India, touching someone’s feet is an accepted way to express regard and respect. However, Ravi maintains that this ceremony is personal and has nothing to do with following tradition. He doesn’t do it formally to receive blessings. Rather, it is his silent acknowledgement of what his wife has done, particularly when no one else has pointed it out.

I don’t discuss anything with her. She isn’t even aware. But no matter how high he climbs in life, this tiny gesture helps him stay grounded, he added. “But it gives me peace.

The Man Behind the Star

For someone often linked to vibrant personalities and political events, this insight from Ravi Kishan serves as a refreshing reminder that success doesn’t erase one’s roots. Ravi’s understated expression of gratitude feels authentic, a personal ritual that reveals so much about who he is. It also imparts a gentle lesson: sometimes, the most profound displays of thankfulness, the ones kept private, hold the greatest significance.
