Published without any restrictions on the public, what was Rakul Preeth’s first Kajari Teej as a married woman echoed in a heartwarming event with her mother-in-law which made the day quite special. The actress treated her fans on Monday by posting pictures of the occasion on social media, granting an intimate inside look at the usually private observance.

A Festive First for Rakul

Bedecked in bright red salwar kameez, Rakul gleamed with joy as she celebrated the traditional spirit of the day along with her husband, producer Jackky Bhagnani and mother-in-law, Pooja Bhagnani, to perform the rites together.

Record this moment for her Instagram followers and Rakul says, “Happy Teej to all of you celebrating… this was my first time celebrating with my MIL and what a lovely experience.

Slide to see the waiting-for-moon face-the wait is real.” Accompanying her emotion-tinged recollections was the soulful ballad “Saiyaara” delivered by Shreya Ghoshal.

Rakul-Jackky Love Story

In the modern face of romance, that is Rakul and Jackky’s relationship. Though they were next-door neighbors for years, their contact was close to nonexistent until the Covid-19 lockdown happened.

Their aimless chats turned into great conversations with the couple eventually deciding to undergo the wedding vow that links them as husband and wife on February 21, 2024, in a close-knit yet grand wedding in Goa – family, near friends and lots of associates from the film industry.

Meaning Behind Kajari Teej

Kajari Teej, which is mostly celebrated in northern India, is a festival of the Goddess Parvati. Married women fast and deck themselves with the solah shringar as they pray for the swarg-darshan of marriage, wealth, and luck.

The day mostly comes to an end with the saffron-colored moon, to which the fasters to offer prayers come. For Rakul, this year’s Teej was not only about tradition and the deepening intimacy between her and her new family.

What’s Next for Rakul Professionally

Meanwhile, Rakul is busy preparing for De De Pyaar De 2, in which she again plays Ayesha Khurana opposite Ajay Devgn as Ashish Mehra. R. Madhavan joins the cast as Ayesha father, Dev Khurana, while Tabu, Jimmy Shergill, Alok Nath and Inayat Sood share key roles.

With glorified cameo appearances from Tamannaah Bhatia and Prakash Raj, this Anshul Sharma directorial promises audiences new colorful twists to the much-woven romantic comedy. This film’s release date is November 14, making it one of the most-awaited Bollywood films of the season.
