Netflix Reveals One Piece Live-Action Season 2 Teaser and Early Renewal for Season 3

Netflix previews live-action One Piece Season 2 teaser and confirms early Season 3 renewal amid big-name casting and Grand Line adventures.

The highly anticipated second season of One Piece, the live-action adaptation of the internationally popular manga by Eiichiro Oda, was teased by Netflix on Sunday, August 10. Additionally, the streaming behemoth has revealed that the Straw Hat Pirates will return for a third season as an extra treat for fans.

At this year’s One-Piece Day festivities in Tokyo, Netflix dropped a highly anticipated first look at Season 2 of its live-action adaptation of One Piece. The teaser reintroduces the beloved Straw Hat Pirates Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp and Sanji as they embark on a perilous journey into the Gran Line, promising fiercer foes and more spectacular escapades.

Season 2, which premieres in 2026, will introduce “fiercer adversaries and the most perilous quests yet,” according to the official synopsis.

New Cast & Arcs Unveiled

The visual hint also spotlights key new characters including Smoker, Miss Wednesday, Miss All-Sunday, Brogy, Dr. Kureha, among others, enriching the narrative landscape.

Illustrated locations span iconic arcs like Logue town, Reverse Mountain, Whiskey Peak, and Drum Island.

Early Green Light for Season 3

In a remarkable show of confidence, Netflix confirmed Season 3’s renewal ahead of Season 2’s release. Production begins later this year in Cape Town, with Ian Stokes joining Joe Tracz as co-showrunner.

With Season 1 already lauded as one of the most faithful anime-to-live-action adaptations, the anticipation builds. Fans have high hopes that Season 2 and beyond will preserve the depth and charm of Eiichiro Oda’s expansive world while delivering thrilling cinematic flair.

In the meantime, Vincent Regan as Vice Admiral Garp, Morgan Davies as Koby, and Aidan Scott as Helmeppo are all returning for Season 2.

When One Piece’s first season debuted on Netflix on August 31, 2023, it became an immediate hit. With more than 18.5 million views in its first week, it topped the English-language TV rankings and received recognition for adapting Eiichiro Oda’s adored manga into a live-action film.
