The second season of the celebrity cooking-comedy show “Laughter Chefs: Unlimited Entertainment” concluded with a vibrant finale when Karan Kundra and Elvish Yadav were crowned champions. The duo endeared themselves to judges, audiences and celebrity peers with their camaraderie, culinary enthusiasm and comic timing. The finale episode saw the pair receive the highest score of 51 stars, as awarded by Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi and the 50 audience members, defeating stiff competition from Aly Goni and Reem Shaikh.
Talking about Laughter Chefs exclusively with SCREEN, Karan Kundrra said, “Season 1 had ended abruptly, and there were no winners. We were all figuring out what the show was like; it was supposed to be a filler show, and suddenly it became a rage. When a time 1 got over, there was a gap, and there were 16 people in this season, other than Bharti and chef Harpal, so there were a lot of issues. But I wanted to be back on the show, because it’s therapy.”
Dynamic Duo and Their Winning Journey
YouTube star and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Yadav entered the contest with Abdu Rozik but was re-paired with actor Karan Kundra while halfway through the show. Karan bonded with Elvish despite being there for a very short time and brought this warmth and humor on-screen with him, and it started yielding results. In the kitchen, it was a different story; Elvish’s emerging skills and Karan’s energy meshed together in a recipe for victory. Kundra’s random yoga sessions would become one of the show’s highlights during cooking assignments.
Behind the Scenes: Hard Work and Laughter
Karan disclosed that every episode took about 16 hours of shooting, but it was more of therapy than work. His full engagement was despite limitations set up by the weather, travel and shoots in Dubai. The duo attributed their win not just to food but the bonding and laughter they shared throughout it. Hostess Bharti Singh lifted all spirits with her very well-known humour, while Chef Sokhi kept contestants on their toes with words of encouragement. One of their star dishes-Mexican fusion- was earned with rare words by the judge salute, which placed them as front-runners.
Fans’ Reactions and the Emotional Goodbye
Following their win, Elvish Yadav penned an emotional Instagram post thanking fans, the production team, and Karan for the indelible memories. Social media went ablaze with congratulatory messages as fans appreciated their chemistry and termed their win well-deserved. Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi expressed exhilaration over their win, stating that the season was a celebration of fun, flavor and friendship. The victory of Elvish and Karan has set the bar high for the forthcoming seasons and demonstrated that such entertainment can be produced when opposites attract.
