What was meant to be a festive musical evening in Gwalior ended in disruption after singer Kailash Kher stopped his live performance midway due to crowd misbehaviour. The incident took place on December 25 during a public concert, leaving the veteran singer visibly upset.

Videos from the venue quickly surfaced on social media, showing chaos near the stage area. Fans were seen jumping over barricades, breaking queues, and rushing towards the singer. The disorder forced Kailash Kher to pause the show and directly address the audience.

What Happened at the Gwalior Concert?

The event was held at the Gwalior Mela Grounds as part of Tabla Day and Gwalior Gaurav Diwas celebrations. The programme began around 7 pm and had approval from the Culture Department.

Kailash Kher opened the show with his popular song “Jaana Jogi De Naal Ve”. However, as the performance progressed, crowd control became a major issue. Several attendees moved dangerously close to the stage and sound equipment.

Despite the presence of security personnel, the situation failed to improve.

Kailash Kher’s Strong Message to the Crowd

Taking the microphone, Kailash Kher expressed his anger and disappointment in clear terms. He warned the audience about the consequences of unsafe behaviour.

“Humne aapki prashansa ki aur aap itna jaanwargiri kar rahe hain. Janwargiri mat kariye please… Agar koi humare instruments ya equipment ke paas aaya, toh hum show band kar denge.”

The singer urged people to respect the artists, crew, and instruments. His words were met with mixed reactions from the crowd.

Police Called as Situation Slips Out of Control

As the chaos continued, Kailash Kher asked senior police officials to come to the stage. He made it clear that the situation was no longer manageable.

Even after the intervention request, the disorder did not stop. With safety becoming a concern, the singer decided to end the performance.

Before leaving the stage, he addressed the crowd one final time and said:

“Aapko main pranaam karta hoon.”

Fans React as Videos Go Viral

Clips from the concert spread widely online, triggering debate on crowd behaviour at public events. Many users supported the singer’s decision and criticised the lack of discipline at large gatherings.

Others questioned the adequacy of crowd management at government-approved cultural events.

Focus Shifts to Event Safety and Crowd Control

The incident has once again highlighted concerns around security planning at open concerts. Artists, organisers, and authorities may now face increased pressure to ensure better crowd regulation at future events.

For Kailash Kher, the evening ended on a disappointing note. For the audience, it served as a reminder that public celebrations come with shared responsibility.
