Actor Huma Qureshi’s cousin, Asif Qureshi, was murdered in Delhi’s Nizamuddin area on Thursday night over a parking dispute. Police said the incident took place around 11 pm in Jangpura Bhogal Lane. Two men allegedly attacked Asif with sharp weapons after an argument over a parked two-wheeler in front of his home’s main gate. Police arrested both accused after a manhunt.
Dispute Over Two-Wheeler Parking Turns Fatal
Police told India Today that the dispute started when Asif returned from work and saw a neighbour’s two-wheeler blocking his house entrance. He asked them to remove it. Instead, the neighbours allegedly started abusing him. The argument escalated quickly, and the accused then attacked Asif with sharp weapons, leaving him critically injured.

Wife’s Statement Highlights Previous Clashes
Asif’s wife, Sainaz Qureshi, informed the police that the accused had previously fought with her husband over the same parking issue. She said that despite earlier tensions, Thursday night’s confrontation turned deadly when the neighbours refused to move their vehicle. She alleged that instead of resolving the matter, the accused launched a brutal assault on her husband.
Police Action and Investigation
After the attack, locals rushed Asif to the nearest hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Police registered a case and formed a team to track the suspects, following an intensive manhunt, officers arrested both accused. Officials confirmed that further investigation is underway to determine the full sequence of events and the exact motive behind the murder.
