Actress Gautami Kapoor is not one to adhere to norms usually dictated by the celebrity porosity world she prefers honesty rather than convention. She is one of the most popular faces of Indian television and is the wife of actor Ram Kapoor. Recently, she opened up to the people about a very extraordinary parenting decision.
Speaking on the talk show Hotterfly, Gautami revealed that when her daughter turned sixteen, she had actually thought about gifting her a sex toy as a way to open discussions and educate about intimacy-hence not to shock her.
Gautami explained further that growing in her time, there were no such conversations kept in the open and she was quite determined to break that chain. Many women go through life without really understanding or enjoying intimacy, pointing out her belief that parents can help lead young adults into more acceptable viewpoints. Her daughter was not surprised by the response, but this openness inspired a level of trust and communication that still continues, with her daughter now eighteen appreciating the thought behind this gesture.
Different Parenting
As far as Gautami was concerned, this was not so much about getting her to be sexually active at an early age but about creating that safe space to ask questions and make decisions regarding that. She believes too many families suppress topics that may otherwise lead to confusion, misinformation, or an unhealthy relationship when ignored.
In what she hopes is the emergence of a parenting style that views openness in family affairs as a strength rather than rebellion, she directly tackles the taboo subject.

Family Fitness Journey
This discussion also touched upon another aspect of family life. Ram Kapoor’s drastic transformation in weight has led to many speculations, with some alleging that he had taken some medical aids such as Ozempic. Gautami clarified this misconception and said their daughter Sia was the one who reminded him to do so.
Sia had weight gain issues and started on a personal journey long before her father. The grit and discipline Sia showed inspired Ram to do the same, resulting in change in the two of them. Gautami said that undoubtedly, beneath all this success is a huge amount of unseen emotional and physical effort, saying proudly how strong they were.
