PSEB Result 2025: Hoshiarpur Student Tops Class 8 with Perfect 600/600

The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) formally announced the Class 8 results for the session 2024–25 on Friday. As many as 290,471 students from 10,471 schools sat in the exam this year, and 282,627 of them have been declared passed and sent to the next class. The overall pass percentage is a remarkable 97.30%.

Toppers List Led by Two Perfect Scorers

Puneet Verma of Shri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Chief Khalsa Diwan, Model Town, Hoshiarpur, topped the list by getting a perfect 600 out of 600 marks. Navjot Kaur of Sant Mohan Das Memorial Senior Secondary School, Kot Sukhia, Faridkot, also got 600/600 and was second.

Meanwhile, another student, Navjot Kaur from Guru Nanak Public Senior Secondary School, Channan Ke (Adda Nath Di Khui), Amritsar, took the third position with a remarkable 99.83%.

Though two students got full marks, PSEB’s ranking policy gives the higher rank to the younger candidate in case of a tie.

PSEB Stresses Transparency and Quality

PSEB Chairman Dr. Amarpal Singh emphasized the higher level of rigor and transparency in this year’s board examinations. According to him,

“This year’s board examinations were done with more rigor and transparency than ever before.”

He also said that PSEB is working seriously towards bettering the curriculum and quality of question papers for the upcoming sessions.

Several steps are being initiated to improve the quality of question papers and the curriculum to make the upcoming board exams more effective,” he further said.

Results Available Online; Supplementary Exams in June

The students can now view their results on the official PSEB website at www.pseb.ac.in and www.indiaresults.com.
