Following the tragic suicide of an 18-year-old student in Uttar Pradesh’s Gorakhpur due to JEE exam failure, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani shared an emotional message urging students to not equate exams with life’s worth.
Adani’s Message: Failure Is Not the End
Taking to social media platform X, Adani expressed his sadness, saying:
“It is heartbreaking to see a promising daughter go away under the burden of expectations. Life is bigger than any exam – parents will have to understand this themselves and also explain it to their children.”
He further added that failure is never the final destination and that life always provides second chances.
Adani Reflects on His Own Struggles
Opening up about his own journey, Adani revealed that he was an average student and faced multiple failures in both academics and life. However, he emphasized that every setback led him to new opportunities.
“I failed many times, but every time life showed me a new path,” he said.
PM Modi’s Initiative on Exam Stress
Amid rising concerns over student mental health, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed exam-related stress in the eighth edition of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’. He discussed:
- Mental health and wellbeing
- Effective ways to handle pressure
- The importance of holistic growth beyond academics
A Call for Change
The tragic incident serves as a stark reminder of the immense pressure students face. Experts and leaders urge parents and educators to foster an environment where children feel supported beyond their academic performance.
