Princess Diana’s brother, Earl Spencer, is embroiled in a legal dispute after his new partner, Dr. Catrine Jarman, 42, filed a lawsuit against his estranged wife, Countess Spencer, 52. Jarman claims that the Countess leaked private details about her, causing her “distress and embarrassment.”
Dr. Jarman, an archaeologist and Viking expert, alleges that the Countess shared personal information about her with several people, including friends, teachers, and others involved in the care of the couple’s daughter, Lady Charlotte Diana. Jarman, who became close to Earl Spencer during a dig at his family’s Althorp estate, only discovered the leaks in May, causing shock and distress.
The legal battle between Jarman and Countess Spencer is set to unfold in the High Court, with Jarman accusing the Countess of disclosing private information without consent, despite the sensitive nature of the details. The lawsuit also claims the Countess shared this information with Jarman’s personal trainer.
The conflict comes after Earl Spencer’s split from Countess Spencer earlier this year and the public revelation of his new romance with Dr. Jarman.
