Television actor Divyanka Tripathi and her husband Vivek Dahiya will be returning to India soon. Their passports were stolen from their car last Wednesday in Florence.

On Sunday night, the couple shared an update on Instagram, posting a picture of themselves holding emergency certificates issued by the Indian embassy in Italy. In the photo, Divyanka is wearing a blue top and matching earrings, while Vivek is in a white t-shirt and a wine polo cap. They captioned the post, “Heading to Bharat soon. We want to thank ‘You’ for your overwhelming love and support. A big thanks to the Indian Embassy for making our ‘Ghar Wapasi’ (homecoming) possible.”

The robbery occurred on Wednesday afternoon when the actors stepped out for lunch while their car was parked at a resort near Florence. Divyanka explained that they lost their passports, cash, and cards after thieves smashed the window of their rented car. The actors were on vacation in Italy at the time. Despite the setback, they managed to replace the rented car since it was insured.

Divyanka added, “We’ll be heading towards the embassy in another city today to get the emergency certificate sorted. Also, we have not lost everything as being reported. We have a few things left that were in the boot of the car. Also, left with our spirits intact! No one can snatch away.” An emergency certificate is issued to Indian nationals whose passports have been lost, stolen, or damaged. Divyanka is known for her roles in TV shows like “Yeh Hai Mohabbatein” and “Banoo Main Teri Dulhann.”
