Haryana Director General of Police Shatrujit Kapoor on Wednesday inaugurated the central mess for food of police personnel at the police station located in Sector-14, Panchkula. During this, he inspected the arrangements made in the central mess (restaurant) and ate food while sitting there. This is the second eatery of Panchkula district started in Sector-14 police station. Earlier, mess has been started in MDC police station of Panchkula.
During this, the Director General of Police also inspected the basic facilities in the police station and gave necessary instructions to the officers present. During the inspection, the Director General of Police also saw the cleanliness system in the police station. Kapoor said that many important steps are being taken by the department for the welfare of policemen. In this series, a start has been made to open canteens in police stations so that nutritious food can be arranged for them in the police station itself.
Similarly, crèches are also being opened in the state for the convenience of women policemen so that the children of working women policemen can be taken good care of. He said that an action plan has also been prepared to provide employment to the children of police personnel who are unemployed as per their educational qualification. For this, they are being trained in different courses so that they can generate means of livelihood.On this occasion, Additional Director General of Police Law and Order Mamta Singh, IG Ambala Range and Panchkula Police Commissioner Sibash Kaviraj, AIG Provisioning Kamaldeep Goyal and DCP Panchkula Sumer Pratap Singh and many other senior officers were present.
