The state government has announced the winter break, but even after this directive, there are schools in the state that continue to operate during the winter holidays. One such school in Jhunjhunu district was found open during the winter break, and it is a private school that came under the scrutiny of the District Education Officer (DEO) following complaints.
In Jhunjhunu district, private schools are conducting classes during the winter holidays. In this sequence, after receiving a complaint on December 28, DEO Elementary Manoj Dhaka reached the village of Udaivas along with the district headquarters. The Tagore Public Senior Secondary School was found operational.
Tagore Public Senior Secondary School was conducting classes for small children to the 12th grade. Dhaka personally visited each class and asked the students whether they attended school regularly. To this, all the students in the class confirmed that the school is being run only after the winter break.
During this visit, staff members tried to persuade the children, and DEO reprimanded them. Not only that, even when the teachers in the class attempted to handle the situation, the DEO reprimanded them as well. After inspecting the school, the DEO ordered the closure of the entire school in his presence.
On this occasion, District Education Officer Dhaka stated that all education officers have been instructed that no school should operate during the winter break. Action will be taken against such schools. He mentioned that there has been a blatant disregard for departmental and officer orders in this school, and action will be taken as per the rules against those responsible.
