Delhi’s Environment Minister Gopal Rai has scheduled a meeting at the Delhi Secretariat on June 11 to discuss the upcoming tree plantation campaign. The meeting will involve officials from the Forest and Environment Department, as confirmed by the Environment Minister’s Office.

In related news, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) recently suspended its former Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA), Nitin Tyagi, from the party’s primary membership due to alleged anti-party activities during the Lok Sabha elections. AAP’s Delhi convenor, Gopal Rai, issued the suspension order on June 7, citing reasons related to the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections.

Responding to his suspension, Nitin Tyagi expressed his views, stating, “Nowadays, speaking truth within the party has become an anti-party activity.” He criticized AAP’s Delhi convenor, Gopal Rai, accusing him of undermining the party’s core principles.

Prior to receiving the suspension letter, Tyagi posted a video on X (formerly Twitter), criticizing the Aam Aadmi Party and its leader Arvind Kejriwal for their defeat in the Lok Sabha Elections in Delhi. In the video, Tyagi highlighted discrepancies between Kejriwal’s statements and the election results, suggesting a disconnect between the party’s leadership and public sentiment.

The developments within AAP and the upcoming tree plantation campaign meeting reflect ongoing activities and discussions in Delhi’s political and environmental spheres.
